About us
Bethel
worship centre was born out of the organisation “Dorcas Mission” founded by Sis. Minvelli Sapphire
in 2004. Dorcas mission was primarily a charity organisation whose goal was to
encourage women to help women in need. It was started under the auspices of our
Pastor Sapphire Daniel. Charitable work including ensuring education for those
with less opportunities, free tuitions, health care in neglected and remote
locations, care for the elderly, empowering women without a livelihood secure
an earning for themselves, and child care at our centre in Chickarayapuram for
the children of women labourers. While these charitable works were greatly
rewarding to both us and those in need, what was truly cherished and blessed
was the prayers for those in troubled situations, and spreading the God’s
message to those inquisitive few who questioned us about our inspirations. The
women of Dorcas mission found strength and unity of purpose through the daily
prayers which were organised right here in our Bethel Hall.
Seven
years after the start of Dorcas mission, by the inspiration of Holy spirit our
Founder Sis. Minvelli Sapphire with a few dedicated women started evening
worship service for the sake of women who needed deliverance in their lives and
named it “Bethel Church” on 18th Sep 2011. Bethel church was started
as an informal women’s church but rapidly blossomed into the family church within
a year as we know it today, as we felt God’s word needs to reach the entire
family with the church acting as one single family in itself. Now the church is
a registered organisation bearing the name Bethel Worship Centre.
